A massive ‘thank you’ to Bradshaws who have put up some very vibrant advertising boards around Cherry Hinton to help us spread the word about the Festival. Bradshaws have also very generously donated £720 to the Festival. Festival team member Kate Jones met with Sasha McNally today to receive the cheque.
Dame Mary Archer at the Duck Race
Dame Mary Archer will be presenting the prizes for the best dressed ducks at the Duck Race on Sunday 14th September.
Remember you can get sticky at the Duck Decorating Day on Saturday 13th September at the Children’s Village Produce Show. This event is free to attend. Ducks cost £1.50, or 4 for £5. Decorating materials are provided.
Mary Archer was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) in the 2012 Birthday Honours for services to the National Health Service as chair of the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The Duck Race is a charity event in aid of The Turbo Trust, who help provide specialist powered mobility for disabled children and adults.
Festival Raffle
The Festival team will be at the Spinney Primary School summer fair on Saturday 1st June to give out information about Festival events and to sell raffle tickets. The top raffle prize is an evening river cruise with Camboats for up to 12 people worth £200. See our raffle page for the complete list of prizes.

Festival funding
The Festival team are delighted to announce that we have received grants from the Cambridge City Council and the Cambridge News to fund the Festival day ‘World of Wonder’. This means all the amazing attractions in the World of Wonder will be FREE to Festival visitors.
Festival craft party 2013

Co-op Community Fund
The Cherry Hinton Festival has received a grant from the Co-op Community Fund to cover the cost of three marquees on the Festival day. Thank you Co-op!
